WE News – The Undertaker, Stone Cold and other WWE Hall of Famers Announced for RAW 25th Anniversary

The recent WWE news confirms that the WWE Hall of Famers along with The Undertaker, Stone Cold Steve Austin,The Godfather, Teddy Long and many more are roped in for RAW 25th Anniversary episode. WWE RAW which is also known as Monday Night Raw or simply RAW, is a professional wrestling program that airs live on Monday evening.

A fabulous teaser trailer lit up the January 8th edition of Monday Night Raw rattling through a galaxy of stars set to return to celebrate 25 years of Monday Night Raw on January 22nd. As per WWE news, the 25th Anniversary of Raw will emanate from Barclays Center and Manhattan Center in New York City on Monday, January 22nd and air live on USA Network at 8/7 C. It is speculated that the superstars from SmackDown will also be there at Barclays Center. At the event at Manhattan Center, the site of the first episode of Raw, will feature WWE Superstars competing, plus special appearances by WWE Legends.

There are some interesting facts related to RAW over the years. Monday Night Raw had its premier on cable television on January 11, 1993, and has been the longest running weekly program in US prime-time TV history by number of original episodes. As per WWE news, at the time of its debut, a gallon of gas was $1.11, a dozen eggs was .87 cents, movie tickets were $4.14 and stamps were 29 cents. The RAW has been viewed 4 billion times by the people in the US alone over a span of 20 years. WWE has logged more than 700,000 miles traveling, in North America, just by filming 52 weeks a year. More than 12 production trucks, crew buses, satellite trucks and generator trucks are used each week to broadcast Raw. The early Raw concept was very different from today’s concept of a big budget and heavily produced arena show. In 1993, the idea was for a ‘Raw’ format with a deliberately gritty presentation that harked back to wrestling roots which was world away from the scale of what Raw is now.

The 25th anniversary of the RAW is indeed going to give some cheer to its fans as they can see their favorite WWE Legends live. As per WWE news, The Undertaker, who was also the part of the first ever Raw Main Event in history will be there at Barclays Center. The fans will see the Deadman after a long time. It is certainly going to be a big day in WWE history.
